What is our idea of heroes? He is probably tall, muscular, with huge biceps, stubble and dark glasses. But, in fact, it’s just a movie image. But the real heroes are among us, and you can’t distinguish them in the crowd.
Such a hero lives in Ust-Kut, in the Irkutsk region, his name is Bogdan. One evening two friends were walking home. Suddenly, someone shouted and shouted for help from afar. They were very close to the river. It immediately became clear: who is drowning. Without thinking twice, Bogdan immediately rushed into the water, and his friend ran for help.
Bogdan had to swim about a kilometer in the dark to find a drowning man. It turned out to be a little girl. The guy grabbed her and, overcoming the current, swam to the shore. All this time he was trying to talk to the baby so that she wouldn’t be afraid. After a while, another man swam up to Bogdan, and together they successfully pulled the girl ashore.
As it turned out later, Bogdan Ogorodnikov works as a lifeguard at the local river club. He is a very good swimmer and knows how to give first aid to a drowning person. The benefit of the latter was not needed. The girl was taken to the hospital: thank God, she was not injured. Then the police began to find out all the details of the incident. And Bogdan Ogorodnikov was officially awarded the medal «For saving a drowning man.» Here he is, a real hero – modest and honest!
