A girl named Luna is currently undergoing treatment in Russia. Just a few days ago, her mother posted fresh pictures on social networks and told how things are with her daughter after another operation.
A few years ago, American doctors requested a very large sum for the treatment of Luna, she needed surgery to remove a birthmark that is on the baby’s face.
According to them, the girl needs to perform 80 operations, which cost about 400 thousand dollars. But fortunately, a cheaper and even safer alternative was found in Russia, in the Krasnodar Territory.
The girl came to the clinic with her mother last fall. At that time, her face was completely covered with melanocytic nevus and there was a huge risk that it would develop into melanoma.
After the examination, the doctors came to the conclusion that the duration of treatment would be about a year and a half, while in America they put a period of five years.
According to the girl’s mother, she recovers very quickly. And oncologist Pavel Popov, who is responsible for the treatment of the Moon, noted that the most difficult thing is to remove the nevus from the edges of the eyelids, since there is very thin skin. At the moment, the girl has already had her forehead, nose and almost one cheek cleaned. It is worth noting that Luna Fenner is not his only patient with such a diagnosis, another American girl Demi Nguyen is being treated for nevus.
