Kendra and Malia Herrin from Uta, USA, despite their rather modest age, have already become celebrities in a sense. The girls were born with an unsuccessful set of internal organs for the twins, but their parents did not give up, and now the little ones can share their story.

After the birth of Siamese twins, doctors told their parents unpleasant news. The girls received a common liver and only one kidney, so the doctors warned the upset mom and dad about a possible sad ending. Contrary to all forecasts, the girls were able to live up to four years without any problems, but then a decision had to be made, writes The Sun.

The main difficulty was only one kidney — it could not cope with its functions. Therefore, the parents decided to separate the girls. The liver was also divided between the sisters. Kendra got the whole kidney, and Malia donated her mother. But, unfortunately, it did not take root, so soon it had to be replaced with a donor one.

If our parents hadn’t made the decision to separate us, we wouldn’t have had a normal life. We wouldn’t be able to make different friends and walk separately. Thank God we were separated! The girls shared. Despite their special condition, they were not teased at school. The children treated them with understanding and helped them whenever possible. Classmates of the Herrin sisters admitted that the twins served as inspiration and role model for many, because they never gave up and took all the blows of fate with nobility and bravery.
