She got into the record book, this brave woman who gave birth at 67. However, the Russian saying about dementia and courage here comes in handy.

More recently, domestic obstetrics declared old-born mothers after 24-25 years. Today’s gynecologists would be happy to give birth to such women, but more and more women postpone motherhood until the age of 30. Forty-year-old mothers have become the norm, because only by this age are women mentally ready for IVF as a last resort.

But the same IVF turns into a mockery of nature: mothers become in 50, and even after 60 years.

The risk to the mother in this case is huge, health problems complicate gestation and make themselves felt in the future. And who knows what will happen to an elderly woman who is not quite healthy and has babies in her arms?

It is no coincidence that in many countries they are considering banning pregnancy for women starting from a certain age. While governments are thinking, women are taking advantage of the moment.

For example, a Spaniard who got into the Guinness World Records. Senora De Lara gave birth at 67. The boys Pau and Christian were born small, only 1600 grams each, but, fortunately, perfectly healthy.

Maria underestimated her age when she applied for an IVF procedure. She has never been married, and did not answer questions about her marital status – this is her private life.

But doctors would hardly have believed that this was Maria’s first pregnancy at all. The doctors thought she was 55 and decided to try.

The mother of a determined Spaniard had lived for more than a hundred years, and Maria was sure that she had got excellent genes, she would have time to raise children.

Alas, interference with nature does not go unnoticed: three years later, the Spaniard died of cancer.

Fortunately, the boys are raised by an aunt, Maria’s own sister. She promised the kids to tell the truth about the birth. But maybe it’s better for them not to know that the biological mother died so that they can live?
