Women in labor and newborns are doing well. A resident of the West African country of Mali gave birth to nine children at once — five girls and four boys. Halima Cisse gave birth to babies by Caesarean section.
This is reported by the Ministry of Health of the country. As noted, the ultrasound results predicted seven children instead of nine for a 25-year-old woman in labor.
The woman had a caesarean section. The operation was performed in a Moroccan clinic, where the expectant mother was transferred by decree of President Banda O.
Newborns and women in labor are doing well now. They are expected to return to Mali together in a few weeks.
As reported, a new study has shown that, despite advances in medicine and technology, childbirth is unlikely to become much easier for women from a biological point of view. One of the main obstacles to easy delivery is the relatively narrow birth canal compared to the baby’s head.
