Karina understood that her younger sister Alyona gets much more maternal love than she does. She didn’t remember her mother talking to her as affectionately as she did to her sister. One day, when Karina came home once again, her mother began to complain about health problems and the lack of a certain amount of money that the girl had. She, of course, decided to help. Karina expressed her desire to return and live in an apartment with her family, but her mother cut her off, saying that her younger sister now occupies her room. After a while, Vadim, the laboratory assistant, asked what bothers Karina so often. She told him about the housing problems. At that moment, Vadim suggested that she move. She accepted the offer.
There were strong feelings between them. Karina did not tell her family about her relationship with Vadim, as she was sure that they would not care.
