My close friend did not consciously plan children, because she was going to devote herself completely to her career. She had a lot of negative thoughts about the future, in particular that we live in a very cruel world. And her difficult past, which she spent half-starved, affected her.
In general, by the time she was thirty-five, she firmly adhered to her beliefs, but when she reached this age, she suddenly caught fire with the idea-fix that she needed to adopt a foster child.
She was not married, her career was on top. And suddenly a terrible tragedy — a serious spinal injury, which simply pulled her out of her usual life. But she didn’t give up, got back on her feet, rehabilitated herself.
Meanwhile, the doctors’ forecasts were not optimistic, but despite everything, she was able to recover. And she continued to dream about her future son. Have you been thinking about yourself? There will be a babysitter on hand, there will be enough money to live on, because she has a decent income. And the baby – the younger, the better, so that right from the cradle, to get as close as possible.
Of course, we talked a lot about her plans — the risk is too high that she will regret the adoption later. After all, it will be someone else’s child with a random set of genes. But she was unshakable, and none of her relatives were put on notice.
These strange searches began – the one, his own, whom you will notice immediately from the crowd. I visited orphanages with her — the children were surprisingly clean and nice. Finally, it happened…
After a while, she received a call and was informed of such welcome information:
– A nine-month–old baby — come watch and get acquainted!
Of course, she immediately rushed to meet her future son, she was almost running through the territory of the institution, when suddenly she was called by one of the kids who were walking around:
— Mommy! My mom!
She stumbled, almost sank into a snowdrift, and the baby hugged her with her little hands and kept repeating:
— Mommy, Mommy!
She then experienced very complex and, perhaps, the most vivid emotions in her life.
The woman has already forgotten about the boy cherished in her dreams — here she is, daughter, fate itself has decided everything. Her heart seemed to be torn to shreds, at that moment she realized that she had really become the mother of this glorious and now the most native two-year-old girl. The baby was so thin, balding, obviously very sickly. But the girl kept repeating «Mom, Mom…».
By the way, even in an orphanage, she was refused the idea of taking this girl to herself – bad heredity, poor health, developmental delay, parents are still in the process of depriving their daughter of rights. The girl has been in the orphanage quite recently.
But she did not lay down her hands, patiently endured all the courts and other procedures, and eventually adopted. And then she began to seriously engage in the rehabilitation of her daughter – to take her to specialists, to develop. At the age of three, I took her to two sections at once – drawing and gymnastics.
Of course, it didn’t work out all at once, but mom was very patient and coped with everything. The relatives were surprised, but they did not turn away from the child.
She became an endlessly loving mom. I took my daughter to the sea so that she regularly lived in the best climatic conditions. They said about the girl that she was incredibly lucky.That’s just not only the child, but also his mother got a lucky ticket — they both selflessly love and delight each other. Two beauties have been living as a family for more than 10 years.
The girl studies at a prestigious school and brings A’s from there. At the same time, she is incredibly obedient and responsive – she helps her mother in everything and is grateful to her for everything.
