These boys were planning a peaceful evening with their mother, they were looking forward to her return. It was boring to stay at home, so they decided to stretch their legs and went to meet her at the bus stop, to help carry bags of groceries.
The street was quiet, so unusual sounds from the other side of the street attracted their attention. It was getting dark, and the boys managed to understand from afar: it looks like someone’s house is on fire.
They ran towards the fire as fast as they could, saw: smoke was pouring out of the windows, it looked like the house was hooked from all sides. True, so far it has only flared up – but what can two children do with fire?
It turned out to be quite a lot.
In the window, the brothers saw a rushing woman with a baby in her arms, she could no longer go out the door.
The boys found some kind of snag, knocked out the windows to help the woman get out. But she handed them the baby and ran away.
The youngest of the brothers carried the child away from home, the second climbed on the windowsill: perhaps the woman was injured, she needs help?
But she gave him the second child, and only when the boy jumped off, she got out herself.
The boys’ mother was horrified by fear at first, but did not scold them. She is proud that she has raised decent men.
Firefighters admit: they would not have had time to pull the woman out, most likely she would have suffocated earlier. Therefore, the guys were awarded diplomas and gifts.
