47-year-old American Shane Mcdeniel lives with his adult sons in the small town of Lake Stevens in western Washington state. In this area, a lot of people still heat their homes with wood-burning stoves. So Shane came up with the idea of chopping firewood and distributing it to those in need.
Then the man ordered a huge signboard on which it was written that he and his sons were distributing firewood for heating for free. They received a huge number of requests. The Mcdeniel family filled the trunk of their pickup truck with firewood eighty times.
The approximate cost of the distributed wood is about ten thousand dollars. Shane and his heirs helped a single mother, elderly people, and just those who are not able to chop or buy firewood themselves.
The information that the Mcdeniels are giving away firewood for free appeared on the Internet. This prompted other people to join their initiative. It is also interesting that in addition to grateful letters to Shane, even several marriage proposals were received, not only from the United States, but also from abroad.
Shane claims that this is not a one-time action. He plans to continue distributing firewood next year.
